At Strasmore, Inc. (“Strasmore,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), we take your privacy and the security of your data seriously. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your personal information when you visit our website (strasmore.com), access our API, or use our AI Analyst and terminal (collectively, the “Services”).
By accessing or using the Services, you consent to the data practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with the terms of this privacy policy, please do not access the site or use our Services.
We collect information that identifies, relates to, describes, or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, with you (“Personal Information”). The categories of information we collect include:
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
Strasmore does not sell your Personal Information. We only share your information in the following situations:
We understand that the queries you run on Strasmore may reflect highly sensitive, proprietary trading strategies. To turn your natural-language prompts into SQL and generate responses, the AI Analyst sends your prompt and the resulting query to our third-party AI model provider, Ollama. Per Ollama’s policy, this content is processed transiently only to return your result and is not logged, retained beyond the request, or used to train any AI model; Ollama requires the same no-logging, no-training, zero-retention terms of the compute providers it uses (processing occurs primarily in the United States).
We do not use your prompts, SQL queries, or parameters to train foundational AI models, and we do not sell or share your Content with advertisers. We monitor only aggregate query-structure metadata to optimize query routing and database indexing.
We use administrative, technical, and physical security measures, including encryption and strict access controls on our servers, to help protect your Personal Information. While we have taken reasonable steps to secure the personal information you provide to us, please be aware that despite our efforts, no security measures are perfect or impenetrable.
We will retain your Personal Information and query history only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. As stated in our Terms of Service, upon account cancellation, all Customer data and queries are systematically destroyed for your privacy and security.
If we become aware of a security incident that compromises the confidentiality, integrity, or availability of your Personal Information, we will investigate promptly and notify affected users — and, where required, the relevant regulators — without undue delay and in accordance with applicable law. Our notice will describe, to the extent known, the nature of the incident, the information involved, and the steps we are taking in response.
Depending on your location (such as if you reside in California or the European Economic Area), you may have the right to:
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at the email address provided below. We will respond to your request within the timeframe required by applicable law.
Strasmore is based in the United States, and we and our sub-processors process and store Personal Information in the United States. If you access the Services from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be transferred to, and processed in, the United States and other countries whose data-protection laws may differ from those of your jurisdiction, and you consent to that transfer. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) for transfers of information originating in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom.
We use a small number of strictly necessary cookies and similar technologies. Our authentication provider (Clerk) sets session cookies that keep you signed in and secure your session. The terminal also uses your browser’s local storage to remember interface preferences (such as light/dark theme and your selected timeframe). We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies, but disabling strictly necessary cookies may prevent you from signing in or using parts of the Services.
Our research blog uses first-party analytics with no cookies and no third-party trackers. For each visit we log the page, the referring page, your IP address, browser and device details, and the approximate location derived from your IP. We use this to tell human readers apart from bots and automated traffic. IP addresses are deleted after 30 days. To exclude your visits, visit strasmore.com/blog/analytics-opt-out.
The Services are intended solely for users who are at least eighteen (18) years old, consistent with our Terms of Service. We do not knowingly collect Personal Information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected Personal Information from a person under 18, we will delete it. If you believe a minor has provided us information, please contact us at the address below.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technologies, or legal obligations. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the “Last Updated” date at the top. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
