Which stocks have weekly options? Most large-cap US stocks and every major index ETF do: apart from the standard third-Friday monthly, dem list Friday expiration for each of the next few weeks. Small group of broad ETFs, including SPY, QQQ and IWM, go further and expire every trading day. Most small caps list monthlies only. How to tell if a stock has weekly options
Open the option chain — the list of every listed call and put for one stock — and check the expiration dates. Standard monthly options expire on the third Friday of the month. That date always dey between the 15th and 21st. Any expiration wey no be third Friday na weekly, or quarterly for some ETFs wey pin am to the last trading day of the quarter. If every date for the chain na third Friday, the stock no get weeklys. Na the whole test be that, and e work for any broker chain without lookup table.
The AAPL chain as e stand on Monday, August 24, 2026 show the pattern. Each row na one expiration date, and the third-Friday rule tag am.
