AAPL Dividend 2026: Dates and Amounts

Apple's AAPL dividend 2026 schedule: declaration, ex-dividend, record and pay dates for every quarter, the per share amount, and the yield on a dated close.

Apple pays its AAPL dividend four times a year, in February, May, August and November, and the 2026 schedule below lists every declaration, ex-dividend, record and pay date alongside the exact amount per share. Each figure on this page is read from Apple's own dividend record and recomputed whenever the page is rebuilt, so a quarter the board has not declared yet does not appear at all. The panels then add the calendar-year total per share and the annualized yield measured on a dated close.

AAPL dividend 2026: the full schedule

Four dates govern every dividend, and they arrive in the same order each quarter. The declaration date is the day Apple's board announces the payment. The ex-dividend date is the first session the shares trade without that payment attached: a buyer from the opening bell that morning is not entitled to it. The record date is the day the company's books identify who gets paid, one business day after the ex-date under T+1 settlement. The pay date is when the cash lands in the account.

Apple's declared 2026 payments open with an ex-dividend date of February 9, 2026 at $0.26 a share and run through August 10, 2026 at $0.27. Read across any row and the sequence repeats: a declaration, then the ex-dividend date, then the record date in the next session, then the pay date. The stretch between the declaration and the ex-date is the window in which the payment is known and still attached to the stock. Our guide to what the ex-dividend date means walks through what happens to the quoted price on that first session without it.

Which 2026 dates are declared, and which are projected

The panel above holds 3 payments, every one of them formally declared by the board. Apple declares each quarterly dividend alongside a quarterly earnings report, ahead of the ex-date shown in the same row, and the fourth declaration of the calendar year comes with the fiscal fourth-quarter results at the end of October.

Until that announcement, a November ex-dividend or pay date published anywhere is a projection from the prior year's calendar rather than a company statement, and it is not in the panel above. The projection is easy to reason about once the cadence is clear: the February, May, August and November rhythm has held for years, and each ex-date has landed early in its month. That is a pattern, not a commitment. The record above is the only place a 2026 date becomes final.

How much dividend does Apple pay in a year?

Sum the quarterly payments inside a calendar year and you get the figure most readers are after: dividend income per share for the year. The table below starts with 2021, the first full year after Apple's 4-for-1 stock split, so every row sits on the same per-share basis.

Apple paid $0.865 per share across 4 payments in 2021. The 2026 row currently totals $0.8 across 3 declared payments, with a top quarterly rate of $0.27. Set that annual total against earlier years only once all four payments are declared, since a partial year counts partial payments. For the earlier years and the pre-split amounts, see Apple's full dividend history.

When does Apple raise its dividend?

One raise a year, and it shows up in the same quarter every time. Apple announces the increase with its fiscal second-quarter results in late April or early May, which puts the first payment at the new rate in May. The panel below finds every step up in the quarterly rate and pairs it with the ex-dividend date where the new rate first applied.

The most recent step in the record took the quarterly rate from $0.26 to $0.27, an increase of 3.8%, first payable to holders as of the May 11 ex-date. The earliest increase in view added 7.3%, on the May 7 ex-date of 2021. Across all 6 increases the shape is the same: a modest percentage lift each spring, then a flat rate for the following four quarters. When companies announce dividend raises covers that timing across large US payers, and the upcoming ex-dividend calendar tracks which names go ex next.

What is Apple's dividend yield?

Dividend yield is annual dividend income divided by the share price, quoted as a percentage. The price moves every session while the payment changes once a year, so a yield is only meaningful next to the date and the close it was measured on. The panel below pins the arithmetic to a dated close: for each recent ex-dividend date it takes that day's closing price and four times that quarter's payment, the standard annualized rate.

On the August 10, 2026 close of $308.26, the annualized yield worked out to 0.35%. The earliest row in view, February 9, 2024, carried 0.51% on a close of $188.85. Four payments of a few cents each against a share price in the hundreds of dollars is the whole of the arithmetic: the per share amount is small next to the price, and the yield is small with it. The AAPL dividend page carries the same calculation on the latest available close.

How these numbers are built

Each dividend is reduced to one row per ex-dividend date before anything is summed, so a restated record cannot double count a quarter. The annual table starts with 2021 to keep every row on the post-split per-share basis; earlier amounts live in the full history. Yield uses four times the declared quarterly rate over the closing price on the ex-dividend date itself, which is a trading day by definition, rather than a price borrowed from a nearby session. No date is typed into the prose: the 2026 window is a date range, and the raise panel locates each step up by comparing every quarterly rate with the one before it.
